Name: Nguyet Mai Vuong
Location: Washington DC
I paint what I live and what I feel. Flowing lines and familiar faces are tweaked to capture an essence, punctuated by inside jokes and intentional imperfections. Layer upon layer of paint and colorful thoughts playfully linger, creating tangible electricity, leaving the response abstract because it has to be felt.
I was born in Viet Nam and migrated to the U.S in 1990, after spending three years in a refugee camp in Malaysia and Phillipines. I received a bachelor's degree in fine art from University of Maryland, CP. I have exhibited around Balitmore and the DC metro area.
